Terrapin Crossroads, the San Rafael, Calif. venue and restaurant based by Grateful Lifeless bassist Phill Lesh, bid followers adieu on Sunday with a last three-set live performance and a garage sale.
The occasion marked the top of the venue’s nearly ten-year lifespan, throughout which the Crossroads served as a locus of group for Deadheads and music lovers from throughout the nation and past. The musicians that performed the present – Stu Allen, Lebo, Reed Mathis, Mookie Siegel and, sitting in on some songs, Scott Guberman – have been, fittingly, all members of the tightly woven group that has come to orbit the venue over time.
The setlist was comprised of Lifeless tunes, covers and different materials. As an apt farewell, the band concluded the night with a heartfelt rendition of “Ripple.”
